INTRODUCED BY James D. Tindall, County Legislator

Body
WHEREAS,
730 of the Jackson County Code requires all officers and employees of the County to be residents of Jackson County, Missouri, and sets forth procedures for the waiver of same by t e County Legislature in the case of non-merit employees; and,

WHEREAS, assistant prosecuting attorney David J. Fry has requested a waiver of said residency requirement as set forth on the attached letter of April 19, 1994 from him; and,

WHEREAS, the Appointing Authority of David J. Fry, Prosecuting Attorney Claire C. McCaskill, has set forth in detail in the attached letter of April 18, 1994 facts tending to show a hardship n the part of said employee and that it would be in the best interest of the County if a waiver of the residency requirement were to be granted; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature does hereby waive the residency requirement of non-merit employee David J. Fry based upon his showing of hardship and further based upon the best interests of Jackson County.
Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of he Legislature.
