WHEREAS, Brian "Slacker" Adams, a beloved disc jockey in Kansas City, passed away on April 16, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and profound impact; and,
WHEREAS, Brian Adams, known affectionately as "Slacker," endeared himself to countless listeners as the charismatic and witty morning radio host for 16 years on 101 The Fox, where his distinctive voice and sense of humor brightened the lives of listeners across the region; and,
WHEREAS, born in Kansas City to Jerry and Carol Adams, Brian grew up in Parkville, where he had cherished memories of childhood adventures and camaraderie with friends; and,
WHEREAS, Brian's 33-year journey into the world of broadcasting began at KY-102 in 1992, where he honed his craft as an intern and late-night DJ before ascending to become one of Kansas City's most beloved radio personalities; and,
WHEREAS, throughout his career, Brian Adams touched the lives of countless individuals, supporting Veterans with Cars 4 Heroes and many other charities, and spreading his infectious laughter, genuine compassion, and unwavering dedication to his craft, earning the admiration and respect of listeners, colleagues, and friends alike; and,
WHEREAS, beyond the airwaves, Brian was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Jennifer, and a loving father to his cherished daughter, Brianna, whose presence brought immeasurable joy and fulfillment to his life; and,
WHEREAS, Brian's passion for adventure, his love of family, and his zest for life serve as enduring reminders of the indelible mark he leaves upon our hearts and the countless lives he touched; now therefore,
