Body
WHEREAS, Truman Medical Center-East has requested approval of the Department of Health and Human Services' 1996 Poverty Income Guidelines and the sliding scale to be followed in determining eligibility for free and reduced-cost care; and,
WHEREAS, by contract, the County must approve said guidelines and scale in order for them to be implemented at Truman Medical Center-East; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the proposed poverty income guidelines and the sliding scale to be followed in determining eligibility for free and reduced cost care, copies of which are attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, be and hereby are approved.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
