Body
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Drug Task Force and Paul Campo of Williams & Campo, P.C., desire to renew their existing Legal Services Agreement that provides for Paul Campo to serve as legal advisor to the Task Force; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Campo's initial retention by the Task Force in 2011 was the result of a competitive selection process; and,
WHEREAS, under this agreement, Paul Campo shall continue to attend Task Force meetings, provide legal advice, draft contracts and documents as needed by the Task Force, and provide such other legal services as may be required; and,
WHEREAS, Paul Campo shall be paid for his services at the rate of $145.00 per hour, in a total amount not to exceed $3,500.00, for the period of January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2026; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Chairman of the Drug Task Force be, and is hereby authorized to execute a Legal Services Agreement with Williams & Campo, P.C., of Lee's Summit, MO, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and is hereby authorized to make all payments, including the final payment on the Agreement.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
