Body
WHEREAS, the City of Kansas City, MO, has submitted a request for three permanent rights-of-way along the County's Blue River Parkway in connection with the City's Blue River Basin, Dodson Industrial Flood Reduction Project; and,

WHEREAS, the rights-of-way requested, which are described in the attachments, will allow the enhancement of future trail alignments along the Blue River Parkway; and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Parks and Recreation has reviewed this request and has recommended its approval; and,

WHEREAS, the granting of these rights-of-way is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute appropriate conveyance instruments and any other necessary documents necessary in connection with this conveyance, in favor of the City of Kansas City, MO, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor.

Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
