Body
WHEREAS, the KC Empowerment Town Hall Meeting on Drugs and Violence is an event sponsored by the Meet Me in the Middle Peace Coalition to instruct an at-risk population on healthy, productive lifestyles; and,
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney recommends a Cooperative Agreement with the Coalition for the sponsorship of this event; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to enter into the attached Cooperative Agreement with the Meet Me in the Middle Peace Coalition, at a cost to the County not to exceed $3,500.00; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
