Body
WHEREAS, the House Arrest Program is currently provided by an outside contractor; and

WHEREAS, the Office of Population Control and the Corrections Department intend to move this program in-house and have provided a notice of cancellation to the contractual provider, effective November 1, 2009; and

WHEREAS, in-house administration of the House Arrest Program will be more cost effective for the County and allow the County to provide more capacity in this program, as well as stronger oversight and management of the program; and,

WHEREAS, a transfer is necessary for this program; and,

WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this transfer; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer within the 2009 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund be and hereby is made:
