Body
WHEREAS, Cathy Glor, a Child Support Enforcement Specialist/Child Support Enforcement Technician II, will retire September 13, 2024, after serving Jackson County with exceptional skill, dedication and professionalism; and,
WHEREAS, Cathy has been a resident of Blue Springs, Missouri for twenty-one years and a resident of Jackson County, Missouri for sixty-five years; and,
WHEREAS, Cathy is married to Ricky Ray Glor, and has two children: Sheila Lynn Glor-Duck and James Matthew Glor, and four grandchildren: Noah Matthew Veillon, Gary Gordon Cook, Joshua Thomas Duck and Deacon James Glor; and,
WHEREAS, Cathy has held various positions within the Family Support Division of the Prosecutor's Office, including switchboard operator, intake worker, file clerk, and child support enforcement technician; and,
WHEREAS, Cathy has become an expert on the financial aspects of child support case management making sure each case is enforced to the fullest and that funds are applied appropriately; and,
WHEREAS, Cathy was a Girl Scout and has volunteered her services to her church in their food pantry and nursery; and,
WHEREAS, Cathy enjoys travel, paint by number, and is an avid sports fan supporting the Chiefs, Royals, and Mavericks; and,
WHEREAS, Cathy has been inspired by the verse: "My thoughts are not your thoughts and my ways are not your ways, well done faithful servants you have come to the place where you belong"; and
WHEREAS, Cathy has inspired her coworkers with her dedication, commitment to families, and work ethic; now therefore,
