Body
WHEREAS, the City of Kansas City, Missouri, is in the process of right of way and easement acquisitions in conjunction with its Red Bridge Road Bridge Replacement Project; and,
WHEREAS, in connection with this project, the City of Kansas City has requested the execution of warranty deeds for right of way and permanent easements through Jackson County park property within the Blue River Parkway, attached hereto as Exhibit A, and have agreed to pay a total of $72,414.00 to Jackson County for the acquisitions; and,
WHEREAS, the execution of warranty deeds for right of way and permanent easements is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached warranty deeds and easements in favor of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, and any and all other documents necessary in connection therewith.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
