A RESOLUTION transferring $52,775.00 within the 2022 Anti-Crime Sales Tax Fund and authorizing the Prosecuting Attorney to execute a Cooperative Agreement with Ivanhoe Neighborhood Council of Kansas City, MO, for the furnishing of anti-violent crime and anti-drug prevention activities and services, at an additional cost to the County not to exceed $52,775.00.

Body
WHEREAS, the County has had a working relationship with Ivanhoe Neighborhood Council of Kansas City (Jackson County), MO, since 2014; and,
WHEREAS, Ivanhoe Neighborhood Council desires to establish a Striving Together to Reduce Violence in Neighborhoods (STRIVIN) Hub in the Kansas City Midtown area; and,
WHEREAS, Ivanhoe Neighborhood Council presented its proposal to the COMBAT Commission on May 12, 2022, and it was unanimously approved; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer is necessary to place the funds needed for this program in the proper spending account; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer be and hereby is made:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Prosecuting Attorney be and hereby is authorized a Cooperative Agreement with the Ivanhoe Neighborhood Council, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
