Body
WHEREAS, the City of Kansas City, Missouri, is planning to construct a new bridge on Blue Ridge Boulevard across the Blue River in South Kansas City; and,

WHEREAS, in connection with this project, the City has requested certain easements across County park land located in the Blue River Parkway; and,

WHEREAS, the easements requested, copies of which are attached hereto, are permanent grading and drainage easements across land totaling 1.242 acres in area and a temporary construction easement across .398 acres; and,

WHEREAS, because the County received federal funding assistance in the acquisition of this park land, the granting of these easements is subject to the further approval of the National Park Service; and,

WHEREAS, the granting of these easements is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached grading, storm drainage, and temporary easements in favor of the City of Kansas City, Missouri.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
