Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 18067, dated January 28, 2013, the Legislature did authorize the purchase of a parking garage located at 505 East 14th Street, Kansas City, MO, to provide parking for Courthouse employees in the vicinity of the downtown Kansas City Courthouse; and,
WHEREAS, certain employees working at the AT&T offices located near the parking garage, have requested to continue to park at this location during their night shift, and have agree to pay the County the amount of $75.00 per month for each parking space; and,
WHEREAS, the accommodation of the request of these AT&T employees will not substantially affect the availability of the garage for County employees during normal County business hours; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the execution of the attached Agreement which is a suitable mechanism to implement the mutual understanding of the parties with regard to this arrangement; and,
WHEREAS, execution of this Agreement is in the best interest of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Agreement with certain employees of AT&T for parking at the County's parking garage located at 505 East 14th Street, Kansas City, MO.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
