Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 4542, dated July 1, 2013, the Legislature authorized the acceptance of a grant for use by the Family Court Division in the amount of $342,967.37 for the Juvenile Court Diversion Program received from the State of Missouri Division of Youth Services; and,
WHEREAS, the Division of Youth Services has now authorized additional funds for this grant in the amount of $100,000.00, for the period of July 1, 2013, through June 30, 2014; and,
WHEREAS, the grant funds will be used to encourage community-based services, which would assist diverting youth from commitment to the Division of Youth Services; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place the grant funds in the proper spending account; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be made from the fund balance of the 2013 Grant Fund:
