Body
WHEREAS, pursuant to 9305.2 (c), Jackson County Code, 1984, and Article VIII, 4 of the Constitutional Home Rule Charter of Jackson County, the Legislature has the authority to provide for an audit of the Anti-Drug Sales Tax Trust Fund; and,

WHEREAS, Marr and Company, P.C., is a firm of certified public accountants, well capable of performing this work; and,

WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the citizenry that Marr and Company, P.C. be engaged to perform that portion of the audit relating to the Eastern Jackson County Multijurisdictional Drug Task Force; and,

WHEREAS, the attached Professional Services Agreement sets out the rights and obligations of the parties; and,


WHEREAS, in order to fund this Agreement, an appropriation is necessary; therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be made from the unappropriated surplus of the 1995 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund:

Unappropriated Surplus $15,000

Fiscal Commission Auditing & Accounting $15,000


and,

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Professional Services Agreement with Marr and Company, P.C; and,

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Manager of the Division of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement...Attorney
