Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 158-98 for the furnishing of a tire service truck with equipment for use by the Public Works Department; and,

WHEREAS, he has received as the only bid thereon a bid from KCR International Trucks, Inc., of Kansas City (Clay County), MO; and,

WHEREAS, the acquisition of this new truck has rendered an existing International, model 4900, 1992 dump truck and one 1988 Chevrolet tire truck, model C30 Dualie, as surplus property; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to 1134., Jackson County Code, 1984, the Purchasing Director has requested that he be authorized to dispose of these trucks by way of trade-in; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the existing trucks be and hereby are declared surplus property and the Purchasing Director be and hereby is authorized to dispose of them by way of trade-in.
