.WHEREAS, William J. Randall served the citizens of Jackson County for many years in
public office, including as a Judge of the County Court, eventually concluding public life as a long-time member of the United States House of Representatives; and,
WHEREAS, since his retirement from Congress, Representative Randall has maintained an active and successful law practice, representing many notable clients, including, the Little Blue Valley Sewer District; and,
WHEREAS, on February 18, 1995, the United States Postal Service will honor Representative Randall by naming the branch post office in downtown Independence the William J. Randall Branch Post Office; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Legislature congratulates Representative William J. Randall on the occasion of the naming of the United States Post Office in downtown Independence, Missouri, the William J. Randall Branch Post Office.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
