Body
WHEREAS, Minute Circle Friendly House has been awarded a grant from Bank of America, in the amount of $62,225.00, to be used in connection with its "Northeast Family" project; and,
WHEREAS, this project is designed to educate school-age students and strengthen the community in the issues of drug/alcohol abuse and crime prevention, through the establishment of five computer labs and sixteen neighborhood access points; and,
WHEREAS, Minute Circle Friendly House has requested County Anti-Drug Sales Tax matching funds in the amount of $21,779.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has reviewed this proposal and recommends the expenditure of these funds; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to enter into an Agreement, a copy of which is attached and incorporated herein by reference, with Minute Circle Friendly House for its Northeast Family project; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
