Body
WHEREAS, the Kansas City, Missouri Board of Police Commissioners, has been advised that it has bee awarded a Drug Free School and Communities grant in the amount of $9,470.00 and private funding i the amount of $11,000.00, and has requested that the County now provide additional funds in the t tal amount of $75,000.00 for the purpose of implementing its Drug Abuse Resistance Education Progr m for the upcoming year; and,

WHEREAS, the attached Agreement provides a suitable mechanism by which funds for the County funds an be turned over to the Kansas City Board of Police Commissioners; now therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropria ion be made from the unappropriated surplus of the 1995 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund:
DEPARTMENT/DIVISION CHARACTER/DESCRIPTION FROM TO Unappropriated Surplus $75,000

Prosecuting Attorney D.A.R.E. Program Grant Match $75,000

and,

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Jackson County Prosecuting Attorney be, and is hereby authorized t execute an Agreement in a form substantially similar to that attached, with the Kansas City Board of Police Commissioners; and,

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Manager of the Division of Finance be and is hereby authorized to ake all payments including final payment of the Agreement; and,

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that Ordinance 2400, ...
