Body
WHEREAS, Eleanor L. (Sarver) O'Connor was born January 23, 1914, in Kansas City, Missouri; and,

WHEREAS, Eleanor retired as an Assistant Jackson County Clerk on May 18, 1992, after 34 years of dedicated service; and,

WHEREAS, she was a loyal democrat and a political activist and served as a Jackson County Democratic Committeewoman for many years; and,

WHEREAS, she was appointed to the Richards-Gebaur Community Council by Mayor Charles B. Wheeler; and,

WHEREAS, Eleanor, a devoted wife and mother, died peacefully on Friday, March 9, 2001; and,

WHEREAS, she was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick J. "Pete" O'Connor, and brothers, William and Herbert Sarver; and,

WHEREAS, she is survived by sons, John P. O'Connor and his wife, Cathy, of Kansas City, Missouri, Michael J. O'Connor and his wife, Rita, of Independence, Missouri, James E. Littrell and his wife, Leila, of Raytown, Missouri, Jack L. Littrell and his wife, Marie, of St. Peter's, Missouri; daughters, Margaret Tierney and her husband, Frank, of Independence, Missouri, Mary Ann Croker and her husband, Bob, of Lenexa, Kansas, Shirley L. Doyal and her husband, Bob, of Independence, Missouri; brothers James "Donald" Sarver, of Kansas City, Missouri, and Robert Sarver, of Raytown, Missouri; sisters, Mary Bland, of Manhattan, Kansas, Patricia Murphy, of Kansas City, Missouri; 29 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews; and,

WHEREAS, Eleanor will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her; and,

WHEREAS, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Bishop Sullivan Center, 6435 Truman Rd., Kansas City, Missouri 64126; now therefore,...
