Body
WHEREAS, the County is installing an 8" water main in Fleming Park along Rennau Drive from Woods Chapel Road to the Sheriff's Department Headquarters; and,

WHEREAS, this water line provides water service and fire protection to the Sheriff's Headquarters and to certain park facilities; and,

WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Park and Recreation Director that the line, when completed, be owned and operated by the City of Lee's Summit and that the attached permanent Water Line Easement be executed in favor of the City of Lee's Summit; and,

WHEREAS, the grant of this Easement will not harm the park and is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute a permanent Water Line Easement in favor of the City of Lee's Summit, to carry out the above stated purposes, in the form attached hereto.

Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
