INTRODUCED BY Dennis Waits, County Legislator
Body

WHEREAS, Resolution 11547, dated December 16, 1996, authorized an agreement with the City of Kansas City whereunder the County would provide the local match to a grant out of the Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund in the amount of $100,000.00, for the City's "Local Law Enforcement Block Grants Program," a program which provides law enforcement and crime prevention programs; and,

WHEREAS, an error was made in the grant match calculation for the County's portion of the match, and the City has recalculated the amount needed and finds that the County's portion should be increased in the amount of $11,111.00; and,

WHEREAS, the COMBAT Grant Administrator has reviewed this request for additional funds and agrees with the City's calculations and recommends increased funding in the amount of $11,111.00; and,

WHEREAS, this additional funding does not alter the terms of the original agreement between the parties so that it remains in full force and effect; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be, and hereby is, authorized to execute the attached First Addendum to the Agreement with the City of Kansas City for its Local Law Enforcement Block Grants Program; and,
