Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited written bids for the furnishing of vibratory asphalt compactors for use by the Public Works Department; and,

WHEREAS, the only bid received was from Victor L. Phillips Co. of Kansas City, MO; and,

WHEREAS, the acquisition of these new compactors will render three existing compactors, described on the attached request for legislative action, as surplus property; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to 1134., Jackson County Code, 1984, the Purchasing Director has requested that he be authorized to dispose of these existing compactors by way of trade-in; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the existing compactors be and hereby are declared surplus property and the Purchasing Director be and hereby is authorized to dispose of them by way of trade-in...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
