Body
WHEREAS, Jackson County is the owner of certain property known as River Bluff Park; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Sugar Creek, MO, has requested that it be allowed to annex River Bluff Park; and,
WHEREAS, in order to facilitate the annexation process, the City has requested the County to execute the attached Voluntary Petition of Annexation, pursuant to § 71.012, RSMo 1994; and,
WHEREAS, annexation of this park by the City is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Voluntary Petition of Annexation.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
