A RESOLUTION in support of our President and Congress in their efforts to bring those responsible for the cowardly terrorists attacks on America and those who harbor them to justice.

Body
WHEREAS, on Tuesday, September 11, 2001, detestable and cowardly terrorists attacks were carried out against the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and an airplane in Pennsylvania; and,
WHEREAS, these despicable attacks resulted in death and injury to thousands of innocent American citizens; and,
WHEREAS, these contemptible attacks also resulted in untold billions of dollars in property and economic damage; and,
WHEREAS, the Legislature considers the attacks as attacks on America; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature shares with the nation its sincere sorrow for the victims and their families and joins with all patriotic citizens in supporting the President and Congress in their efforts to bring the responsible cowards and/or those who harbor them to justice.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
