Body
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Drug Task Force ("Task Force") has a need for the purchase of twenty (20) tactical vests for officers serving arrest and search warrants for the Task Force; and,
WHEREAS, the vests currently in possession of the Task Force need to be replaced due to the fact that they are outdated and subject to possible failure; and,
WHEREAS, the estimated cost is $2,416.50 per vest; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer is necessary in order to place the necessary funds in the proper spending account; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said transfer; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer be and hereby is made within the 2005 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund:
