Body
WHEREAS, the Kansas City Museum has requested funding for its "If I Had a Hammer" program, in the amount of $10,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, under this program, students are taught basic skills in math, problem solving, critical thinking, and teamwork, as applied to the construction of a small building; and,
WHEREAS, the funding of this program is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of the County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute a contract with the Kansas City Museum regarding its "If I Had a Hammer" program, at a cost to the County not to exceed $10,000.00; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments including final payment on the contract...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
