INTRODUCED BY Dixie M. Flynn, County Legislator

Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 47-98 for the furnishing of urinalysis testing for use by the Department of Corrections to provide for departmental needs for the upcoming one-year period; and,

WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest two bids thereon bids from the following:

VENDOR

Health Productivity Systems
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO

Mobile Examination, Inc.
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO

and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to Health Productivity Systems of Kansas City, MO, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid as set forth in the attached recapitulation; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriation to the using spending agency has heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
