Body
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 12089, dated March 9, 1998, the Legislature did authorize the County Executive to execute an Agreement with the Friends of Sugar Creek to assist in the design, construction, and operation of a historical and heritage center to serve the people of Sugar Creek, at a cost to the County of $25,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, the County now desires to extend the period of time to assist in this project until December 31, 1999; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the attached Addendum to Agreement is hereby approved and that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the Addendum on behalf of the County; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement and the Addendum thereto.
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
