Body
WHEREAS, the City of Kansas City has been notified that it has been awarded a Local Law Enforcement Block Grant by the United States Department of Justice; and,

WHEREAS, the City has proposed to pass-through a portion of the grant's proceeds to the County for use in County anti-drug programs; and,

WHEREAS, the funds will be turned over to the County pursuant to a cooperative agreement with the City, which remains subject to the approval by the Legislature; now therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 1997 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund:
