BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:
Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RE" (Residential Estates) District so that there will be transferred from District A to District RE a tract of land described as follows:

A 10 + acre tract of land at the Northeast corner of Owens School Road and Pink Hill Road being in all that part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 17, Township 49, Range 30 in Jackson County, Missouri, beginning at the Southwest corner of the Southwest quarter of Section 17, Township 49, Range 30 in Jackson County, Missouri; thence North 01 degree, 34 minutes, 17 seconds East, 687.59 feet along the west line of said Section 17; thence South 87 degrees 02 minutes, 57 seconds East, 643.53 feet along the South line of Lot 1, Nick's Landing a subdivision as now of record in the Recorder of Deeds Office at Independence, Jackson County, Missouri, and Recorded as Document Number 1- 969481 on April 1, 1990; thence South 01 degree, 39 minutes, 13 seconds West, 686.80 feet to a point on the South line of said Section 17; thence North 87 degrees, 07 minutes, 10 seconds West, 643.53 feet along the South line of said Section 17 to the point of beginning.

Section 2. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of William Whitley (RZ-96-029), requesting the amendment embodied in this ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission favorably recommended this application in a public hearing on June 20, 1996, does adopt ...
