A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute a Permanent Maintenance Agreement with the City of Independence, Missouri, at no cost to the County.

Body
WHEREAS, the County and the City of Independence share ownership of Burnley Road between Heidelberger Road and Lake City Buckner Road; and,
WHEREAS, a conflict has arisen between the County and the City of Independence as to maintenance responsibilities of this one-mile portion of Burnley Road; and,
WHEREAS, the County and the City of Independence have mutually agreed that it would be in their best interests to execute an agreement setting forth their respective responsibilities; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the attached Permanent Maintenance Agreement is hereby approved, and that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached agreement on behalf of the County...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
