Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 4164, dated October 26, 2009, the Legislature did authorize the acceptance of the 2009 Recovery Act Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) for use by the Jackson County Prosecuting Attorney's Office to provide funding for salaries and benefits for employees for the Jackson County Drug Court and Re-Entry Pilot Program; and,

WHEREAS, by Resolution 17877, dated April 16, 2012, the Legislature did authorize the extension of the 2009 Recovery Act JAG through June 30, 2013; and,

WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney's Office desires to reallocate funds from professional services to provide for funding salary and benefits for employees within the its office; and,

WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Justice has approved this reallocation; and,

WHEREAS, a transfer is necessary to place funds in the appropriate spending accounts; and,

WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this transfer; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer within the 2012 Grant Fund be and hereby is made:
