Body
WHEREAS, pursuant to the 2006 budget negotiations and the dissolution of the Jackson County Department of Economic Development, it has been proposed that a Cooperative Agreement with the Kansas City Area Development Council (KCADC) be executed to enable KCADC to administer the County's economic development program and campaign which will include goals of attracting new jobs, recruiting growing businesses, and promoting the County's business and lifestyle assets; and,
WHEREAS, the cost of this campaign will not exceed $198,235.00; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute a Cooperative Agreement with KCADC for the purpose of administering the County's economic development program and campaign, in a form to be approval by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
