Body
WHEREAS, the Haines Road Bridge, located approximately 1.7 miles south of Missouri Route 150 and .62 miles east of Smart Road, in unincorporated Jackson County, is eligible for replacement as part of the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission's (MHTC) Off-System Bridge Program, which provides for reimbursement of 80 percent of a project's cost, and,
WHEREAS, the attached Off-System Bridge Program Agreement between Jackson County and the MHTC sets out the obligations of each entity relating to the design and construction of the bridge; and,
WHEREAS, MHTC has requested that this authorization be adopted by ordinance; and,
WHEREAS, execution of the attached Agreement is in the best interests of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Off-System Bridge Program Agreement with the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission for the Haines Road Bridge Replacement Project, No. 3241.

Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
