Body
WHEREAS, Blue Springs South High School sophomore Brett Wilke has successfully completed all requirements to attain Scouting's highest honor, the rank of Eagle Scout, and will be recognized at the Eagle Court of Honor on July 16, 2011; and,

WHEREAS, Brett began scouting five years ago and is a member of Troop 251; and,

WHEREAS, Brett has served as Patrol Leader, Instructor, Chaplain's Aid, Quartermaster, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, and Senior Patrol Leader for the troop and has earned thirty-seven merit badges; and,

WHEREAS, for his Eagle Scout project, Brett installed new landscaping for St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Lee's Summit; and,

WHEREAS, Brett has attended the H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation near Osceola, Missouri, for five years and is a Warrior in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say; and,

WHEREAS, as a student in the Blue Springs School District, Brett has served as a member of the Student Council at both Moreland Ridge Middle School and the Blue Springs Freshman Center and he volunteers as a reading tutor at Daniel Young Elementary School; and,

WHEREAS, Brett's proud parents, Bruce and Marti Wilke of Blue Springs, join in his celebration of this honor; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby congratulates Brett Wilke upon successfully completing all requirements to attain Scouting's highest honor, the rank of Eagle Scout, and extends well-deserved recognition for his contributions to the Jackson County community.
