INTRODUCED BY Dan Tarwater, County Legislator

Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 10762, dated April 3, 1995, a contract with Health Productivity Systems of Kansas City, MO, for the furnishing of urinalysis testing for use by the Prosecuting Attorney's Deferred Prosecution and Drug Court programs was approved; and,

WHEREAS, by Resolution 11363, dated July 22, 1996, Resolution 11762, dated May 19, 1997, Resolution 12006, dated January 12, 1998, Resolution 12206, dated May 4, 1998, and Resolution 12300, dated August 3, 1998, increases to this contract were approved in the respective amounts of $100,000.00, $100,000.00, $54,000.00, $45,400.00, and $80,300.00; and,

WHEREAS, it is necessary to further increase this contract in the amount of $50,000.00 in order to allow Health Productivity Systems to continue providing urinalysis services to participants of the Deferred Prosecution and Drug Court programs through July 31, 1999; and,


WHEREAS, in order to fund this payment, a transfer within the 1999 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund is necessary; and,

WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this transfer; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, the following transfer within the 1999 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund be and hereby is made:
