Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 50-00 for the furnishing of an x-ray scanning system for use by the Sheriff's Department; and,

WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest three bids thereon, bids from the following:
VENDOR

Control Screening LLC
W. Lafayette, IN

Heimann Systems
Pine Brook, NJ

Perkin Elmer
Ft. Worth, TX
and,
WHEREAS, he has recommended that award be made to Control Screening LLC of W. Lafayette, IN, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid as set forth in the attached recapitulation and analysis; and,

WHEREAS, the acquisition of a new x-ray scanning system has rendered an Astrophysics Research Corp. Model 01-0410 x-ray security system S/N 47276 and an XV107X Model 4580 x-ray security system S/N 1010 as surplus personal property; and,

WHEREAS, these x-ray security systems have become obsolete and unusable; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to ยง1134., Jackson County Code, 1984, the Purchasing Director has requested that he be authorized to dispose of these x-ray security systems by way of trade-in; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of th...
