WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. PW-05-99 for the 1999 Culvert Replacement, Phase I, Project No. 2394; and,
WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest three bids thereon the following:

C. W. Luebbert Construction Co., Inc. $118,789.29
Blue Springs, MO
WCI Construction $125,220.80
Paola, KS
and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to Radmacher Brothers Excavating Co., Inc., of Pleasant Hill, MO, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that a contract on Bid No. PW-05-99 in the actual amount of $106,558.00, be awarded to Radmacher Brothers Excavating Co., Inc., of Pleasant Hill, MO, as the lowest and best bidder; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works be and hereby is authorized to adjust the contract line item quantities provided that, in doing so, there is no additional financial obligation to the County; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Executive be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, except final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
