WHEREAS, in connection with the Jackson County Detention Center expansion, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. PW-2345 (Bid Package No. 6) for the construction and installation of mechanical and plumbing systems; and,

WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest three bids thereon bids from the following:

WHEREAS, in the event that change orders to the contract become necessary, due to the time constraints involved in completion of this phase of work it is appropriate that the County Executive be given authority to approve additional expenditures under this contract not to exceed $116,000.00, which is approximately 5% of the contract amount; therefore,
