Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 15719, dated December 5, 2005, the County awarded a twelve-month term and supply contract for the furnishing of trash removal service for use countywide to Deffenbaugh Industries, Inc., of Shawnee, KS, under the terms and conditions of Electronic Solicitation No. BB200596, as the lowest and best bidder; and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing now recommends that she be authorized to execute two twelve-month extensions of the contract with Deffenbaugh Industries, Inc., of Shawnee, KS, commencing December 13, 2006, and terminating December 12, 2008, under the terms and conditions of Electronic Solicitation No. BB200596; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the extensions be authorized as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the extensions; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract and subsequent extensions, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies are contained in the then current Jackson County budget.

Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
