Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited bids on Invitation to Bid No. 3-08 for the furnishing of janitorial services for use by the Public Works Department to provide for county wide needs for the upcoming twenty-four month period; and,
WHEREAS, a total of twenty-four (24) bid notifications were distributed and seven (7) responses were received, with the three low bidders as follows:
VENDOR 24 MONTH CLEANING WITH SUPPLIES
Modern Maintenance, Lenexa, KS $512,424.00
Riteway, Kansas City, MO $665,712.00
GMI, Suwanne, GA $669,807.60
and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends that the contract be awarded to Modern Maintenance of Lenexa, KS, as the lowest and best bidder; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency are contained in the then current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
