Body
WHEREAS, the Hickman Mills C-1 School District's Management II School serves as an alternative school for youth at risk for substance abuse and provides educational opportunities to complete their secondary education; and,

WHEREAS, the Hickman Mills C-1 School District has received public and private grants from the Department of Education - 21st Century Schools as Community Centers, State of Missouri - Safe Schools, the Hall Family Foundation, and Hoechst Marion Roussel in the aggregate amount of $380,000.00; and,

WHEREAS, the Hickman Mills C-1 School District has requested County Anti-Drug Sales Tax matching funds in the amount of $57,000.00; and,

WHEREAS, this is the first year for this grant program; and,

WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has reviewed this proposal and recommends the expenditure of these funds; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the attached agreement, with the Hickman Mills C-1 School District for its Management II School; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on this Agreement...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
