Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 3916, dated July 30, 2007, the Legislature did amend section 1540. of the County Code regarding the County Employees' Pension Plan to change the method of appointment of members of the Pension Plan Administration Committee to comply with the Jackson County Charter; and,

WHEREAS, since the adoption of Ordinance 3916, the need for two minor technical corrections to the code provisions regarding the committee has become apparent; and

WHEREAS, the adoption of an amendment codifying the necessary corrections is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the interest of the County, now therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, as follows:

Section A. Enacting Clause. Sections 1540. and 1541., Jackson County Code, 1984, are hereby repealed, and two new sections enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as sections 1540. and 1541., to read as follows:

1540. Pension Plan Administration Committee, Composition.
The Employer by appointment of the County Executive subject to the disapproval of the County Legislature shall appoint a Committee to be known as the "Pension Plan Administration Committee" to administer the Plan and to keep records of individual Member benefits. The composition and membership of the Pension Plan Administration Committee[, all of whom shall be residents of the County,] shall be established as follows:

(I) one (1) active Member of the Plan who is an employee of the Circuit Court;

(ii) one (1) active Member of the Plan who is also a member of Local 42 bargaining unit within the ...
