AN ORDINANCE appropriating $10,000.00 from the undesignated fund balance of the 2019 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund and authorizing the County Executive to execute an agreement in acceptance of funding provided by the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force for use by the Jackson County Drug Task Force for "Operation Slippery Roads."

Body
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Drug Task Force (JCDTF) and the U.S. Department of Justice's Drug Enforcement Administration have formed the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) to conduct a joint federal drug investigation, OCDETF Case No. WC-MOW-0332, "Operation Slippery Roads," for the period of October 1, 2018, through September 30, 2019; and,
WHEREAS, a portion of the overtime costs incurred by the JCDTF for this investigation will be reimbursed by the OCDETF, in an amount not to exceed $10,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place the projected funds in the proper spending account; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the undesignated fund balance of the 2019 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund be and hereby is made:
