WHEREAS, the Counselor’s Office currently uses GovQA software to manage and respond to requests for public County records related to various County departments; and,
WHEREAS, that contract has previously been sourced through SHI International Corporation but it has now been determined that the same service can be provided directly from the vendor at a less expensive rate; and,
WHEREAS, the Counselor’s Office has a need for these continued services to maintain operational efficiency and Granicus of St. Paul, MN is the County's current vendor and can provide this upgrade at a cost, not to exceed $106,435.00; and,
WHEREAS, the County Counselor and Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing recommend award of the contract to Granicus as a sole source for the reason that, as the software developer, only Granicus can provide these services; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1030.1 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing and County Counselor recommend the award of a contract for use by the County Counselor’s Office to Granicus of St. Paul, MN, as a sole source purchase; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing and Counselor, and that the Interim Director be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
