Body
WHEREAS, the Director of the Health Department recommends acceptance of the transfer of ownership of satellite telephone equipment from the Mid America Regional Council (MARC), under the Homeland Security Urban Area Security Initiative Fund grant, No. 76255; and,
WHEREAS, this equipment will enhance the Health Department’s communications ability during a public health emergency or disaster; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends acceptance of such transfer of ownership for the use and benefit of the Health Department; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the transfer of ownership of the satellite telephone equipment is accepted and the County Executive is authorized to execute any documents necessary to the accomplishment of transfer.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
