Body
WHEREAS, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources has awarded a Landmark Local Parks grant to the Parks and Recreation Department; and,
WHEREAS, funding from this grant will add an additional 1.1 miles to and renovate older portions of the Little Blue Trace Bicycle Trail; and,
WHEREAS, the total state share of the grant is $160,000.00 with a local match of $56,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, in order to accept this grant, a transfer with and appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 1998 Grant Fund are necessary; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said transfer; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer and appropriation be and hereby are made:
