Body
WHEREAS, the citizens task force appointed by the County Executive has recommended the adoption of a comprehensive ethics code governing county officials, employees, and board and commission members; and,

WHEREAS, the County Executive has previously promulgated an executive order applying this code to the County's employees; and,

WHEREAS, the Legislature now believes it appropriate to extend this code to all elected officials and members of county boards and commissions; now therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Enacting Clause. Sections 900., 905., 906., 910., 915., 920., 940., 941., 942., 943., 944., 950., and 951., Jackson County Code, 1984, are hereby repealed, and twenty-eight new sections enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as sections 900., 901., 902., 903., 904., 905., 906., 907., 908., 909., 910., 911., 912., 913., 914., 915., 916., 917., 918., 919., 920., 921., 922., 923., 924., 925., 926., and 927., to read as follows:

All county officers and employees shall disclose all outside employment and financial interest by filing a written certificate with the Personnel Director.
