Body
WHEREAS, in connection with the ongoing improvement project at the Harry S Truman Sports Complex the County and the Sports Complex Authority have agreed upon procedures that will be applied to allow the County the opportunity to review certain aspects of the project, including design, schedule, budget, and requests for payment; and,
WHEREAS, these procedures will allow the County greater oversight of the project than was provided for in the Sports Complex Lease Amendments and Development Agreements; and,
WHEREAS, the attached Intergovernmental Cooperative Agreement adequately sets forth the agreement and understanding of the parties in this regard; and,
WHEREAS, the execution of this Intergovernmental Cooperative Agreement is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Intergovernmental Cooperative Agreement with the Jackson County Sports Complex Authority.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
