Body
WHEREAS, the County did, by Resolution 14864, dated January 12, 2004 enter into an agreement with Old Northeast, Inc., an organization which engages in community crime prevention activities for the purpose of preventing illegal drug use and drug-related offenses, in the amount of $43,472.00; and,
WHEREAS, COMBAT staff has requested that the payment terms of the Agreement be amended to allow advance payment for the quarter beginning July 1 with payment reverting to a monthly basis for October, November and December, 2004; and,
WHEREAS, the amended payment terms are necessary to assist Old Northeast, Inc., with cash flow difficulties; and,
WHEREAS, the attached First Addendum to Agreement provides a suitable mechanism by which to implement the COMBAT staff's recommendation in this regard; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached First Addendum to the Agreement Old Northeast, Inc., amending the payment terms of the Agreement; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement and the First Addendum thereto.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
